4/21/18:</br>Matt Savage Trio

How old would you expect a jazz pianist/leader with 12 albums of seriously swinging original music to be?

Matt Savage is only 25. His 12th album dropped in 2016. Once you learn that Matt was a child prodigy, it starts to make sense. He recorded his first album when he was all of 9. And he has been creating and amazing audiences ever since. Born with the profound gifts and challenges of a savant, Matt has received attention from journalists, psychologists, broadcast media and jazz fans alike. He has performed internationally—from Paris to Singapore. And in addition to mastering both jazz and classical repertoire, he has written a river of originals. Hence the 12 albums.

Matt scored the feature documentary Sound of Redemption: The Frank Morgan Story. He has degrees from Berklee and Manhattan School of Music and now teaches piano in Boston, giving workshops and masterclasses around the world.
